It is with great emotion that Cilex announces today the departure in January 2025 of Chloé Martinetti, Director of Operations and Development and Interim General Director of Cilex. She is leaving the organization on good terms to pursue new career opportunities.
Ms. Martinetti started her journey with Cilex in 2016 as Project Manager, when the organization was still known as the LRTC. Her dedication, agility and creativity led her throughout the years to become a central pillar of the institution. In 2020, she was named Director of Operations and Development, and in 2024 she took up the mantle of Interim General Director in the midst of major organizational change.
Under Ms. Martinetti’s leadership, Cilex saw significant progress. Her expertise on public funding mechanisms and her in-depth knowledge of the realities faced by startups were invaluable assets to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“When I started out in 2016, the LRTC was beginning a new era with Cilex; our journey together lasted eight years,” explains Ms. Martinetti. “I learned a lot during the decade I spent in the economic development ecosystem, and I feel blessed to have been able to work with such a great team. I am now ready to tackle new challenges and start a new chapter in my life, just like Cilex is bound to do, holding the past close to heart and looking to the future.”
The members of Cilex’s Board of Directors also wish to express their gratitude for all of Ms. Martinetti’s exceptional work.
“Chloé has been a leading figure of Cilex and an exceptional collaborator,” says Gabriel Laporte, Chairman of the Board. “I had the privilege of working with her, first through professional partnerships and then directly as an administrator on Cilex’s board. Her professionalism, her rigour and her unwavering commitment to the Outaouais entrepreneurial ecosystem have left a lasting impression. We wish her well in her future endeavours and hope her career path keeps on making her shine.”
The entire Cilex team would like to sincerely thank Ms. Martinetti for her immense contribution to the organization and to the advancement of its people. We wish her great success in her new journey.
A replacement for the role of Interim General Director has been identified and will be announced shortly, within the context of the merger between Cilex and the Institut Innovation Gatineau. The name and branding of the new entity will also be unveiled in the new year, showcasing a shared common goal for the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
