Gatineau, 5 May 2022 – Cilex management welcomed a group of federal representatives to its offices to take part in a cybersecurity round table organized by the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec.

The meeting allowed the various representatives to discuss current cybersecurity issues in the province of Quebec and to recognize the importance of projects such as Connexité, the Gatineau innovation zone specializing in cybersecurity and digital identity.
The Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Minister responsible for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec; the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry; the Honourable Steven MacKinnon, MP for Gatineau; and the Honourable Greg Fergus, MP for Hull—Aylmer, took part in the round table.

“We are pleased to have held a first cybersecurity round table in Canada with ministers and deputies, in the Cilex offices at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. I want to underline the receptiveness of the representatives, as well as their openness to the Connexité project,” commented Antoine Normand, Chairman of the Cilex Board of Directors.
Various entrepreneurs from the field of cybersecurity as well as representatives of the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) and In-Sec-M were also in attendance.
“This event made it possible for nearly fifteen entrepreneurs and organizations based in Quebec to share their cybersecurity concerns with the attending ministers and deputies,” added Martin A. Roy, General Director of Cilex.
