Véronique Nabelsi, Senior Expert in R&D and Innovation at Cilex and professor in the Administration Sciences Department at UQO, won the innovative clinical team award at the Gala Prix TI en santé et services sociaux 2021.
Cilex management celebrates this commendation of Véronique’s work and wishes to share the news along with heartfelt congratulations. Her research project, Optimisation de la trajectoire inter-établissement des soins en chirurgie thoracique entre le Centre universitaire de santé McGill et le CISSS de l’Outaouais, studied the optimization of cross-institution healthcare follow-ups for thoracic surgery patients between the McGill University Health Centre and the Outaouais CISSS.
The study was divided in two phases: innovating medical and administrative practices, and technological innovation to better the care provided to patients. Information technologies were at the core of the project, allowing for better communication between the various participating medical teams of the Outaouais region and the Greater Montréal area.

This project was financed by the Fonds de soutien à l’innovation en santé et en services sociaux (FSISSS), which funds healthcare and social services innovation. The partners taking part in the study were CISSSO, MUHC, UQO, Akinox and RUISSS McGill Telehealth.
The Gala Prix TI en santé et services sociaux 2021 took place on November 4th. Its goal is to highlight important advances in information technology (IT) in the fields of healthcare and social services.
